Our Story
Matcha Crew began with a simple passion: matcha.
Long before we opened our doors, we fell in love with the craftsmanship, tradition, and ritual behind authentic Japanese tea. We believed matcha was more than just a trend—it was a culture, an experience, and a way of bringing people together.
That passion led us to take a leap of faith.
We opened Matcha Crew in Finland, a country known for having one of the highest coffee consumption rates in the world. To many, opening a café dedicated to matcha and Japanese tea in such an environment seemed like an unlikely idea. Coffee had long been part of everyday life, while matcha was still unfamiliar to many.
But we believed that if we focused on quality, authenticity, and creating memorable experiences, people would embrace something different.
The journey wasn't easy.
Building a brand from the ground up meant earning trust one cup at a time. We spent countless hours introducing customers to matcha, perfecting every recipe, refining every detail, and creating an experience that people would want to return to. Every conversation, every recommendation, and every returning customer became part of our journey.
What started as a single café has grown into an international brand.
Today, Matcha Crew has expanded across Europe with locations in Helsinki, Barcelona, Madrid, Prague, and Brno. Alongside our cafés, we have also become a trusted distributor of premium Japanese matcha, supplying cafés, restaurants, retailers, and businesses that share our passion for exceptional tea.
As we have grown, one thing has never changed.
